Cruises are no longer just for retirees, according to Bloomberg News travel journalist Brittany Chang, who says younger travelers are increasingly booking ocean voyages as rising airfare and hotel costs squeeze traditional vacation budgets.
Speaking on Bloomberg This Weekend, Chang explained that the all-inclusive nature of cruise travel, covering lodging, meals and entertainment in a single upfront price, is proving especially attractive to Gen Z and millennial travelers looking to stretch their vacation dollars further.
The shift suggests that as travel costs climb across the board, younger generations are rethinking what value looks like on a trip, favoring predictable pricing over the mounting expenses of booking flights and hotels separately.
