BlackRock's head of global fixed income for EMEA, James Turner, says bonds are delivering an "extremely strong" income opportunity right now, with yields sitting at levels not seen in decades, according to Bloomberg Markets.
Turner's comments point to a shift in how investors are viewing fixed income after years of near-zero rates made bonds a low-reward asset class. With yields now elevated, income-focused investors are being told the math has changed in their favor.
The remarks come from one of the world's largest asset managers, whose views on fixed income carry weight across institutional and retail investing circles, Bloomberg Markets reported.
