Baltimore Ravens fans will see a brand new face at quarterback for Thursday Night Football, as undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano steps in to start against the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to Yahoo Sports.
Fagnano is getting the call because both of Baltimore's regular quarterbacks, Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley, are dealing with injuries, Yahoo Sports reports. The 25-year-old's path to the NFL was unconventional, having played his college football at Maine before transferring to UConn.
With no draft pedigree and limited name recognition heading into the matchup, Fagnano's performance under the bright lights of a national primetime game will be closely watched as the Ravens look to navigate their quarterback injuries without derailing their season.
