UCLA enters its matchup against Nevada with bigger goals in sight, including a strong Big Ten campaign and a potential College Football Playoff berth, according to Yahoo Sports. But before any of that can happen, the Bruins have to handle business against the Wolf Pack in what is being framed as a tune-up game.
The matchup is seen as a test of focus for UCLA, which will need to avoid any letdown against a less heralded opponent while keeping its eyes on the larger season-long objectives. Yahoo Sports published a prediction and preview ahead of the game, weighing how the Bruins might approach the contest given the stakes further down the schedule.
While the final score and outcome remain to be seen, the framing of the game underscores the pressure on UCLA to treat every matchup seriously as it builds toward its Big Ten and playoff ambitions.
