Nelly opened up about one of his more unusual paydays during a recent appearance on "The Breakfast Club," recalling how Taylor Swift brought him out for a surprise performance in Houston, Texas, back in 2011, according to Page Six.
The "Ride Wit Me" rapper said the onstage cameo lasted only a few minutes, but Swift made sure he was compensated well beyond what the short set might suggest. Nelly told the hosts that Swift paid him $50,000 in cash, delivered to him inside a McDonald's bag, according to E! News.
Nelly described the moment as part of a longtime friendship between the two artists, noting Swift's spontaneous request for him to join her onstage. The rapper's retelling has since drawn attention for the unexpected way the pop superstar chose to hand over the payment.
