Houston's pregame tradition hit a snag before its matchup with Cincinnati when the university's custom Cadillac LeCab, central to its flashy SLAB-style entrance, suffered mechanical trouble on the way to TDECU Stadium, according to Yahoo Sports.
The entrance, which usually features Houston rapper Lil' Flip helping hype up the team as it arrives in the lowered, customized car associated with Houston's SLAB car culture, had to be reworked on the fly because of the car's issues.
While the exact fix used by the program wasn't detailed, the hiccup disrupted one of the more distinctive game-day traditions in college football, one that leans into Houston's local hip-hop and car culture scene for flair before kickoff.
