Reese Alston, a five-star point guard regarded as one of the best prospects in the 2027 class, has committed to LSU and head coach Will Wade, according to Yahoo Sports. Alston currently stars at Second Baptist School and is the reigning winner of the Guy V. Lewis Award, given annually to the top high school basketball player in Houston.
The commitment is a notable recruiting win for Wade and the Tigers, who beat out competition for one of the most sought after names in his class. Alston is the son of Rafer Alston, the former NBA guard known during his playing days as 'Skip 2 My Lou,' adding extra attention to his college decision.
