ESPN's College GameDay will set up shop in South Bend for Week 10, spotlighting the Miami Hurricanes' trip to face Notre Dame, according to Yahoo Sports.
The decision has raised eyebrows because it means the popular pregame show is skipping over other high profile matchups happening the same week across the SEC, Big Ten and Big 12, conferences that often dominate the show's weekly location picks.
GameDay's choice of venue each week is closely watched by fans and programs alike, since an appearance brings national exposure and a raucous on campus atmosphere. Yahoo Sports noted the pick as a surprising one given the strength of the alternative games available this week.
